Vasilis Grammatikopoulos is an Assistant Professor in Educational Evaluation at the Department of Preschool Education, at the University of Crete in Greece. He has been affiliated with Teesside University and Liverpool Hope University in the UK, and University of Macedonia and University of Thessaly in Greece. Vasilis has been teaching and researching for 15 years in higher education and has additional teaching experience in primary and secondary education for more than 10 years. He has also participated in numerous funded international research projects (most funded by European Commission) in the field of early childhood education, and his main research interests are educational evaluation and early childhood education evaluation.
Vasilis has experience in experimental designs in the early years context since the majority of his research publications are in the field of assessment and measurement in early childhood education. Vasilis has published over 25 research papers in peer reviewed international journals, and apart from being a member of the European Early Childhood Education Research Association (EECERA), he is also a member of the American Evaluation Association (AEA), American Educational Research Association (AERA), and European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI). Vasilis is currently a reviewer for the European Early Childhood Education Research Journal and was the Chair of the 24th annual conference of EECERA that was held in Crete in 2014.
