Dr Elly Singer, 1948 – 2023
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we heard the news of the recent and unexpected death of our friend, colleague and retired EECERA Trustee, Dr Elly Singer, Associate Professor at the University Utrecht and University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Through her many studies Elly made a significant contribution to our knowledge and understanding of policy and practice in early childhood education and care and was an active member of EECERA for many years. She was an insightful scholar, researcher and teacher, always full of energy and ideas which she blended with a great sense of fun and a deep enjoyment of life. Elly will be missed by all of us at EECERA from whom we send our sincerest condolences to her family and close friends.
