Short bio

Nancy Barbour has been an Early Childhood educator and teacher educator since 1975. She taught at Kent State University (Kent, Ohio, USA) for 27 and at James Madison University (Harrisonburg, Virginia) for 7 years. She retired in 2019. Her areas of research have been the history child development laboratory schools and Early Years professional preparation. She serves on the editorial boards of European Early Childhood Education Research Journal, Early Education & Development, and International Journal of Early Years Education. She is also one of the EECERA Book Series editors.
